G&G UMG Mock Silencer Stuck on the gun, won't come off!

Just got this beautiful gun in a trade and I cannot get the silencer off. Had two people tugging on it trying to get it off and the thing won't nudge.

I do know how to remove one. Push forward, push button down, pull silencer off.

It won't twist, it won't come off at all and the button seems to be pushing down fine.

Anyone know how to solve this mystery?
