Shotgun for Zombie Defense

I'm firmly in the 22lr camp for my ZEoW preparations, but here's an idea.

can fire the mini-12 gauge (1.75in) shells. It normally holds 6 standard 12 gauge (3in) shells in each of its two tubes, but if my calculations are correct it can hold 10 each, or 20 short shells.

Load those up with bird shot:

and you'd have 21 rounds of low-recoil head busting mayhem.

ITs a cool design, but you gotta figure in parts availability into survivability of your shotgun. Thats the problem with going with exotics. What are the chances you'll run across another one to give you spare parts?

That's one of the questions I had for Falling Skies, where you see guys running Sig 552s or Augs - honestly, how common is that weapon going to be in the US and where will you find parts if something breaks? Would see it as being a disposable weapon - run it until it breaks, then toss it for something you can actually find parts for.

Good point Texx. I absolutely agree. I was thinking it's the type of weapon you'd use to blast yourself out of someplace.
